So as we have all heard Christopher Michael Benoit...AKA, The Pegasus Kid, Wild Pegasus, The Rabid Wolverine, The Crippler, The Canadian Crippler and The Shooter, was found dead on June 25th along with his wife Nancy and their 7 year old mentally retarded son Daniel. The Crippler smothered them both in their sleep then hung him self by the cord of his weight machine (probably getting a few last reps in( bad joke)) . The Wild Pegasus text messaged a few of his WWE friends before hanging himself telling them,
"My physical address is 130 Green Meadow Lane, Fayeteville Georgia. 30215"
"The dogs are in the enclosed pool area. Garage side door is open."
Steroids were found at his home which have been, on and off, taking a lot of the blame for this event as a "roid rage" episode. Although WWE officials say The Rabid Wolverine cleared his annual drug test on April 19th.
Recently found, The Pegasus Kid's wikipedia was updated 14 hours before the body were ever found saying that the reason Benoit had missed his last fight was because his wife was dead. Authorities investigated and found that it was just speculation from the author.
The Canadian Crippler left a very detailed note to the authorities describing his feelings, thoughts and motive behind this awful event saying, "it's all because of Paris Hilton."

NBA
The NBA is currently experiencing it's most exciting offseason......ever. I'll give the cliffs notes:
-The NBA draft occured last night -- nothing real exciting happened. To be expected, Oden went to the Portland Trailblazers and Durant went to the Super Sonics.
-Greg Oden(big ugly guy from ohio state) and Kevin Durant(skinny amazing player from texas) are two of the most talented players to come out of an NBA draft since Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon both entered the league in 1984. (more realistically, it's similar to LeBron and Carmelo in 2003.... but it's more fun to pull out references from a while ago).
-Kobe Bryant still wants to be traded... and it looks like this will happen.
-Kevin Garnett(Minnesota Timberwolves) will also be traded. In this deal, Amare Stoudemire (1st team all-nba selection last year) could also be traded.
-Ray Allen WAS traded to the Boston Celtics (you may know him as jesus shuttlesworth from "he got game"). This trade also moved Wally Szczerbiak (and a few others) along with the #5 pick in the draft to the Seatle Supersonics. Wally went to Miami (OH).
-Within a year, 10 amazing NBA players will have expiring contracts which could lead to a lot more shifting of big name players.
-Cleveland remains secluded from any of the aforementioned trade talk.

Good week for Argentina
The 2007 U.S. Open (that's a golf tournament) concluded on Sunday with a severe underdog emerging as the top dog. Angel Cabrera (pronounced "ong-hell") is the first Argentinian to win the U.S. Open -- he did so while holding off two of the world's best golfers in Tiger Woods (ranked 1st in the world this year) and Jim Furyk (ranked 3rd). Furyk and Woods tide for 2nd place, one stroke behind Cabrera.
Cabrera lead the pack after two days and 36 holes (the whole tournament lasts 4 days -- 72 holes); however his home country, Argentina, didn't even feature him on the front page of the newspaper. That honor went to San Antonio's Manu Ginobli, as he had just won his 3rd NBA Finals ring.
The U.S. Open was played at Oakmont Country Club -- a notoriously difficult course located in PA, near Pittsburgh.

LeBron was fouled!
alright, here goes my first ever blog attempt -- CCR Statistics or otherwise (crazy, huh?)
The Cleveland Cavaliers just hosted their first ever NBA Finals game in their 37 year team history. The stadium was pretty juiced, and the general atmosphere throughout the whole city was said to be electric. The Cavs played tremendous defense the entire game; however, all of their hard work on the defensive end of the ball was offset by what can only be described as a piss poor offensive effort. Boobie was 1-10 from the field, Sasha was 5-15, and Varejao should never be passed to again. The aforementioned sideshow-bob-esque player took it upon himself to create a shot for himself with 10 seconds left in the game.... a role that should only be played by the King. Finally, LeBron was fouled during a desperation three pointer at the end of the game. Had it been called, he would have gone to the charity stripe (slang for free-throw line) with a chance to tie the game.
The cavs were also a miserable 3-19 from 3-point range.
On the positive side, Z snagged 18 rebounds (1 less than the record for most rebound in a post season game by a Cavalier.... Brad Daugherty holds the record with 19... he's currently an announcer for NASCAR).
Justin Verlander pitched a no-hitter to lead the Detroit Tigers to their 3rd straight win and a share of the central division lead. They are currently tied with the Indians (who lost their 3rd straight game tonight and are on a 3-7 skid during their last 10 games). Verlander is only the 3rd pitcher in ML history to pitch a no-hitter only one year removed from his rookie season.
I'm too pissed off to write anymore.

Bad Sports week...
Well we began on a positive note... The Cleveland Cavaliers won the Eastern Conference Finals, Lebron was awesome, and everybody was talking about Cleveland... even in LA!
-Cavaliers lost game 1 of the NBA finals and Lebron only had 14 points. We lost pretty bad. At times it was ugly. Thats all people have been talking about, it sucks. Fortunately there are some rebuttals that you can say back, as a Cleveland fan:
-The Jerk store called and they are running out of you!
-I slept with your wife!
-Lebron is going to make some adjustments, as is Coach Mike Brown, and we are going to do a better job defending Tony Parker (Eva Longoria's boyfriend) and get Daniel "Boobie" Gibson more involved earlier in the game.
Or just hide in a cave until Sunday and hope we show some improvement then... This blog is completely about how to be a Cleveland sports fan by the way.
-Non-Cleveland story: Michael Vick, the quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, the really athletic incredibly talented underachieving quarterback, is being investigated for sponsoring dog fighting. One of his homes located in Virginia had dozens of pitbulls, dog blood spattered on walls, and something called a rape stand which is used to hold these dogs in place while they mate. yikes.
Apparently there is a huge culture of dog fighting in the South and in rap videos. A few athletes even came out and said they see nothing wrong with it, they're just dogs they say. ugly stuff, watch on youtube, nasty. We'll just have to wait and see where that investigation leads... Definitely dog fighting will be a hot topic for a month, so make a commercial about how bad it is.
Hopefully next week in The Philippines will be a sports week for the ages! Renren wong Garcia could score 7 choopas in pelota against the lingunas!!!

Weekly Athletic RECAP!
First ever athletic recap thanks to urging request from Spotts via wall post.... Its 7:24am (eastern time, assholes) so sense of humor may be lacking, but in future weeks sense of humor is acceptable and even encouraged, as our Ladies in Beer dye.
-The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the obnoxiously arrogant Deeeetroit Pistons in 4 straight games (after losing the first 2) to go to our first ever NBA finals! Now we must face the perrenial favorite, and most boring team ever, The San Antonio Spurs. The whole country will now watch the game because Lebron is in the finals. Detroit v. San Antonio, nobody would have watched.
-Lebron James had 48 points in Game 5 scoring 29 of Cleveland's last 30 points, and the last 25 straight. That was awesome. It also made Daniel "Boobie" Gibson wide open and game 6 as he scored 31 points mostly on 3 pointers. Boobie is the new nickname, its good to know. Just say "Boobie for 3!!!" and you'll get some laughs at the water cooler. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1Px-jPm_TU this is Lebron's last 29 points from game 5. Some ranked it in the top 10 of playoff performances all-time.
-The Spurs have a big guy named Tim Duncan, he is good but boring. They also have Tony Parker, he is getting married to Eva Longoria this summer. The Spurs are the favorite by a lot, but Cleveland has a "puncher's chance".
-The Yankees suck, Clemens still hasnt pitched even though he is getting $18.5 million for half a season. Remember, we hate the yankees so thats hilarious.
-a little older news, but relevant out west, Kobe Bryant is demanding a trade, then changing his mind, then demanding a trade again. He says it wasnt his fault Shaq left, and he hates the Lakers management and he wants out. I think people are sick of Kobe, good timing Lebron on scoring 25 straight "Clutch" points in game 5.
okay, thats all the big sports stuff for now, nice and quickish, everybody is up to date? Kyle gets internet and HDtv today so he can contribute too. Go Cavs!!! (Game 1 Thursday night by the way).
